VIDEO – Eastdene shooting: Do you know these men in the car? Police ask for assistance with bloody home invasion

Police have turned to the public to assist them with apprehending four robbers who shot and wounded Atiyya Latib in her parental Eastdene home during an invasion last Tuesday.

Ms Latib was shot by one of the robbers while she lay bound and gagged alongside two of the family’s domestic workers and their gardener.

Another suspect can be seen walking the streets of the Eastdene residential area.

The robbers attacked the Muslim scholar in her bedroom while she was praying.
They also forced her to remove her hijab.

She was shot in the upper body and rushed to hospital by her father, well-known Middelburg optometrist Mr Asharf Latib.

The police are calling on members of the public to assist them with tracking the robbers.
