Fender bender leaves a traffic jam
Traffic was brought to a standstill on Walter Sisulu Street after a silver Nissan rear-ended a medical waste management vehicle pulling a trailer.
The accident took place on the corner of Walter Sisulu- and SADC Street at roughly 11:00 this morning.
The traffic department has released no information on the cause of the accident, but it is known that the motorist driving the silver Nissan was taken into custody at the scene.
The vehicle that was rear-ended was not carrying any medical waste at the time, and no serious injuries or damages were sustained.
The scene was controlled by the traffic police and fire brigade and has since been cleared up.
