WANTED: Attempted murder suspects
Members of the South African Police Service are looking for unidentified suspects who shot at two men in separate incidents in Middelburg.
The duo is believed to be involved in the in the taxi industry, however, survived the attempt on their lives.
In the first incident, it was reported that a 31 year old male from Eastdene was shot at on 4 April at about 21:00.
Information given to the Police suggested that the man had just parked his car in front of the garage when e suddenly heard gunshots. he reportedly hid in a corner of the house until it was quiet.
He later heard from from passers by that a white Toyota Quantum was seen in the vicinity. His vehicle and garage was riddled with bullet holes.
In an unrelated incident, the Deputy Chairperson of the Mhluzi Taxi Industry was also shot at a day before.
The man, in his fifties, is believed to have arrived at home and noticed a white Ford Ranger parked nearby. The occupant then shone light at him and proceeded to fire his weapon at the man.
Police were summoned and an attempted murder case was opened for investigation.
The South African Police Service urges anyone with information to come forward and assist in the apprehension of the suspects.
