Woman lies about hijacking following fight with boyfriend
Police are investigating the false reporting of a hijacking which occurred in Mhluzi on Thursday night.
A women told the police that she was hijacked.
On investigation police found that the lady’s boyfriend actually took the car following a lover’s quarrel.
He didn’t have money to pay for a taxi to take him to Ermelo, and decided to take his girlfriend’s car keys and left.
Police traced the car to the boyfriend’s house in Ermelo.
Police didn’t name the women or her boyfriend but the woman will be charged with perjury.
