Hawks arrest suspect in possession of explosives
An intelligence operation between the Hawks and Secunda Organised Crime Investigation Unit led to the arrest of a 29 year old suspect in possession of a 31 inch British Mortar bomb.

It is alleged that the suspect was selling stolen jewellery when an undercover officer approached him in Henshall Street in Nelspruit on 5 April.
The suspect offered to add a mortar bomb along with the jewellery in exchange for R150 000 in cash. Both the jewellery and the bomb were confiscated for investigation following the suspetc’s arrest.
The suspect was expected to appear at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today for possession of explosives and suspected stolen property.
