Nigerian national murdered in Middelburg

A Nigerian National was killed in an apparent foiled hi-jacking attempt on Friday.

A friend of the deceased told www.mobserver.co.za how he and a friend met with  prospective car buyers in Walter Sisulu Street on Friday afternoon.

Three men driving a white BMW arrived, got out of the vehicle and repeatedly stabbed the deceased before they fled the scene.

His friend, who asked to remain anonymous, was also injured but survived the attack.

The deceased, believed to be in his mid-thirties, was rushed to hospital where he later died.

Captain Kanyisile Zwane, Middelburg Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said they are investigating a charge of murder. She said they are currently busy obtaining information from the witnesses.

The deceased is known as Harry. His surname is not known at this stage.
