Stoffberg’s ‘Ghosts in the darkness’
The story of a lion that was seen strolling next to the R555 (Stoffberg road) is a ghost story.
The recent publication on social media of a lion prowling on the Stoffberg road, had many people up in arms, especially after the incident of 14 lions on the loose in Phalaborwa.
A photo was published on the Facebook profile of Witbank Parts showing a lion walking next to the road. The administrator of the profile captioned the photo stating that the lion was seen next to the Stoffberg road.
It has been confirmed that the sighting was untrue.
www.mobserver.co.za tried to reach the owner of the Facebook account for comment but they did not respond before publication of the article.
The image has since been deleted from the account.
