A breath of life for Plantoperandi

A gust of life is blowing through the leafy aisles of Plantoperandi Nursery, leaving much to look forward to for the green fingers of Middelburg.

The nursery, which is well-known to residents, has donned a new jacket under the ownership of the Hill family. A passionate team that dotingly nurtures the array of plants in their charge, is what sits behind the bucolic revival of the little piece of paradise.

Meet the team: Zanele Mhlanga, Elie Mkhwebane, Coster Kgopane, Johannes Mothupi, Lourens Maumye, Heather Hill, Donald Makoae, Wayne Hill and Lynette Miessner.

Co-owner, Wayne Hill, explained that Plantoperandi Nursery underwent a change of ownership last year in May. Under the new direction of the Hill family, Plantoperandi not only sports a fresh coat of paint, but plenty of changes have been made to meet every Middelburg gardeners’ needs.

The nursery holds a wide variety of plants, ornaments, garden accessories, and hardware, as well as services, including landscaping. The beautifully decorated Leeubekkie Coffee Shop offers light refreshments in a scenic outdoor setting that is suitable for any family gathering, as well as catering for private functions according to bookings.

Pensioners can also look forward to a 10% discount on all purchases in the nursery or coffee shop every Wednesday. Wayne also announced that the establishment plans on bringing in a variety of services like garden maintenance and garden hardware, as well as a fully licensed wine list that offers alcoholic beverages to its patrons.

Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 to 17:00
Saturdays: 08:00 to 16:00
Sundays and public holidays: 08:00 to 13:00.
