Unknown man’s burnt body still not claimed

The man whose body was found near Belfast at the Palmer turn-off on the Stoffberg road on October 2 has still not been identified.

His burnt body was found next to the road, and when the police arrived, they noticed he had open wounds on his head.

Although his remains were badly burnt, they could see he was wearing a white and red shirt with a red Adidas tracksuit jacket.
A murder case was opened.

The police urge anyone who might have a missing relative or anyone who can offer any details to assist in finding the family of the deceased person to contact Detective Sergeant Rose Magagula on 013 253 1688 or 078 047 4575.

Alternatively, Crime Stop can be called on 08600 10111, or information can be sent via the MYSAPS App. All information will be treated as confidential, and callers may remain anonymous.
