N4 crash victims identified

The seven Mozambican nationals, including a 13-year-old girl, who lost their lives on the N4 last Friday, have been identified, and their bodies will be transported to Maputo this week.

The collision involved a taxi and a truck.

The taxi driver, who was en route from Johannesburg to Mozambique, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle.
The taxi, towing a trailer, overturned and was subsequently struck by the oncoming truck.

The truck driver emerged unharmed.

The people who tragically lost their lives are Sanio Augistintio, Joyce Chauke, Ilda Munguambe, Vios Mkhabela, Estovao Chauque, Aldina Nyabanga, and 13-year-old Stela Matola.
