Sneaky criminal caught stealing solar lights

CCTV cameras at a Gholfsig home captured footage of a man breaking in and stealing two solar lights.

The incident happened at about 13:30 on Tuesday, while the homeowners were at work.

Upon returning and entering their garage, they immediately noticed the absence of their sensor lights.
They subsequently searched their property and discovered two of their solar lights had been stolen.

The video footage reveals a man with a noticeable limp disconnecting the lights before fleeing the scene.

• Kanonkop and Gholfsig have seen a rise in thefts of solar panels and lights this year.

Anyone with information that can help apprehend the suspect is urged to contact Muzi Hleza on 082 576 5400.
