Bakkie crashes into Doornkop home

A Doornkop family had the shock of their lives when a bakkie crashed into their home.

The owner of the house, Steven Motsepe, said one of his children was inside the house when the incident occurred at 07:00.
The lone driver first collided with his gate before ploughing into his veranda and dining room.

Fortunately, no injuries were sustained during the accident.

The incident occurred earlier this month.

Mr Motsepe spoke to the owner of the bakkie and agreed not to open a criminal case, however, the bakkie owner must first pay for the damages to the property before he can have his vehicle towed.

He added that the repair costs of his home have amounted to R20 000 and the owner of the bakkie is yet to tow his vehicle.
