Family identifies woman hit by vehicle

The loving 72-year-old grandmother was killed while crossing the street.

The pedestrian who was killed in an accident last Friday worked in Aerorand for 40 years as a domestic worker.

Anna Makua (72) was struck by a delivery vehicle on the corner of Mandela Avenue and Duiwelspiek Street in Aerorand while crossing the road and was killed on impact.

Her son, Joseph, described her as a dedicated and caring mother and grandmother, who loved her two children and nine grandchildren more than anything else in the world, “She will be dearly missed.”

She will be laid to rest this Saturday in Stoffberg.
