Eastdene Shopping Centre still burning

The Eastdene Shopping Centre fire continues, however, the Middelburg Fire Brigade have contained the inferno to the back of the premises.

The blaze is near smouldering, it will then remain in that state for approximately a day.

The fire is presumed to have started at Saverite Supermarket, from which it then spread to neighbouring stores.

Formal investigations are underway to determine possible foul play,

With assistance from the Steve Tshwete Traffic Department and Titan Security, the Centre has been closed off to the public.

Caution is advised, as winds are blowing the heavy amount of smoke to surrounding areas.
