Students burn tyres again at TVET College

Students from the Nkangala TVET College have once again ignited tyres near the campus on Brug Street as they resume their protest this morning (Wednesday).

They are still demanding that NSFAS pay their accommodation fees directly to them rather than to landlords.

The protest, which began three weeks ago, was briefly suspended for two days due to first-semester tests.

Public Order Policing have responded to the scene where one arrest has been made, causing protesting students to disband.

Motorists are urged to be cautious when travelling along Brug Street.
