The MHS and HTS Middelburg Derby continues

Both schools are passionately competing in the tightly contested rivalry.

The Derby officially swung into motion on Monday, with thrilling action between Hoërskool Middelburg and HTS Middelburg set to continue throughout the week.

At 14:00 today, the schools’ Hockey B-Teams will clash in a prelude to the other upcoming matches, as the Hockey Boys’ A-Team sides are to play on Friday and the Hockey Girls’ A-Team sides this Saturday.

Thursday will see the schools compete in the shooting event, with the tennis taking place on Friday.

The rugby and netball will take place this Saturday, in what is expected to be a packed crowd of passionate spectators.

Golf:

1st Team Boys’ — MHS 100–95 HTS Middelburg.

1st Team Girls’ — MHS 101–85 HTS Middelburg.

Boys B-Team — MHS 90–70 HTS Middelburg.

Squash:

1st Team Boys’ — MHS 3–2 HTS Middelburg.

1st Team Girls’ — MHS 6–0 HTS Middelburg.

2nd Team Girls’ — MHS 2–3 HTS Middelburg.

Chess:

Juniors — MHS 5–1 HTS Middelburg.

Seniors — MHS 4–2 HTS Middelburg.
