The N4/N12 split was closed off by TRAC N4 following two collisions in the heavy mist.

The media spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Moeti Mmusi, confirmed that the section of the N12 between eMalahleni and Delmas has been reopened.

The highway was closed temporarily after a multiple-vehicle collision leaving several injured.

It was later confirmed that two more accidents followed on the initial one.
