Busy night for emergency services with string of accidents

A thriller of a weekend kicked off for first respondents after a series of collisions were reported.

The road carnage flared up on Friday evening with Traffic Alert reporting a collision between two vehicles on the N11 (Loskop) a short distance out of Middelburg.

Emergency services were dispatched to attend to the injured.

A stationary truck on the N11 just after Doornkop this morning partially blocked off one of the lanes.

Motorists were also warned of a stationary truck blocking off part of the lane on the N11 just passed Doornkop.

The accident on the R575.

A single motor vehicle was reported early this morning on the R575 Dhuva, resulting in the driver being rushed to hospital.

A collision between trucks blocked off the entrence to Bethal.

A collision between trucks resulted in the closure of the road entering Bethal from the R35 at roughly 07:00 this morning.

Caution was also advised to motorists traversing the N4 between Wonderfontein to Mbombela as heavy mist affected visibility this morning.
