Tree on fire on Dr Beyers Naudé Street

At this stage, it is unclear as to how the tree caught on fire.

In pictures taken moments ago, a tree can be seen burning on Dr Beyers Naudé Street.

The tree is situated near the Middelburg Magistrates Court.

Emergency Services have not yet arrived at the location, but the Middelburg Observer journalist at the scene alerted the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality of the fire.

Caution is advised to those travelling in the area.
