Driver of school bus not yet arrested despite several reports

Bus driver still not arrested.

The Middelburg Observer spoke to Moeti Mmusi of the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison,  confirmed that the driver of the bus that shockingly collided with a train on the R104, has not been arrested.

Several news publications have been reporting that the driver was arrested; however, this is not the case.

Mmusi said the investigation is still ongoing.

On Thursday, the Middelburg Observer was at the scene as the bus was towed away by Van Wettens.

Emotional bystanders watched as it was being removed.
