Family believe beloved father is missing
Family looking for help to find beloved father and husband.
At 06:00 this morning, Christo Janse van Vuuren woke up, said goodbye to his wife Corné, and went off to work at Columbus Stainless, just as he would any other day.
But Christo didn’t arrive at work, at 06:45, his silver Renault Koleos was spotted travelling past the Middelburg Toll Plaza, in the direction of eMalahleni.
When his family found out he hadn’t arrived at Columbus, they were immediately concerned, these concerns grew when they and Christo’s employer couldn’t reach him.
His daughter-in-law, Rene, told the Middelburg Observer, “This is 100 percent out of character for him, he wouldn’t just leave.”
Rene said that the family has watched video footage of the silver Renault passing through the plaza, but could not determine whether Christo was actually in the vehicle.
The family asks that everyone be on the lookout for the family patriarch, and that if anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts, contact Rene on 067 707 9156.
