The Belfast/Dullstroom road has reopened after protesters twice blocked it outside Belfast, with police still monitoring the area.

The Belfast/Dullstroom road is open again after protest action twice disrupted traffic just outside Belfast earlier today.

In the latest incident, protesters cut down a tree and threw it across the road, along with burning debris. A few residents helped clear the obstruction by cutting up the tree.

It has now been confirmed that the road is safe for travel between Belfast and Dullstroom. Police remain in the area to monitor the situation.
