Middelburg’s 2025 matric results will be released on January 13 and will be published in accredited newspapers. Here’s where Middelburg’s Grade 12 learners of last year can check results and get school-based support.

• Convenience stores;
• Other authorised newspaper vendors across Middelburg.

What information will be published?
The Department of Basic Education confirmed that results will be published using only the learners’ examination numbers. No names, surnames or ID numbers of any candidate will be used. Learners must have their examination number to access results.

What do you do if your results are not what you expected?
First of all, it is not the end of the world. Take some time to process your results and avoid making rushed decisions. Contact your school as soon as it reopens and ask about remarks or rechecks, supplementary exams, subject rewrites, and alternative pathways. These include TVET colleges and bridging options.

Middelburg has school-based support resources. Learners and parents in town are encouraged to make use of school-level support structures, which will be available after results are released, such as school principals and deputy principals. Guidance on pass requirements, promotion decisions, and next steps, such as life orientation teachers and school counsellors. For any emotional support, career guidance, or referrals where needed, get in contact with your school management team. Grade 12 learners who require assistance with remark applications, subject rewrites, or documentation, the District Education Office (Steve Tshwete area) is the place to go knocking.

Is there support with placement queries, appeals, and administrative processes?
Schools operate in line with guidance from the Mpumalanga Department of Education, and parents are advised to rely on official school communication channels for accurate information.

Middelburg’s parents are encouraged to remain calm and supportive.

Remember that matric results are an important milestone – but not the only path to success.
