A coal spillage on Rondebosch Dam road near Mafube has created hazardous driving conditions for motorists.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution on Rondebosch Dam road between Rondebosch and the Arnot turn-off near Mafube following reports of a coal spillage.

According to motorists on the Traffic Alert WhatsApp group, a truck is believed to have accidentally dumped a load of coal, which is now scattered across the roadway. The spillage poses a serious hazard and increases the risk of accidents.

Drivers using this route are advised to reduce speed, remain alert, and proceed with extreme caution until the road has been cleared.

• There have also been reports of an accident on the R104 near Jo Roux Boedery. It appears a vehicle overturned. Emergency services are on the scene. It is unclear if anyone sustained injuries.
