A life rooted in faith, family and farming

The funeral of respected farmer Niels Erichsen will take place on Saturday on the family farm.

Niels Erichsen passed away on February 15, and his family is inviting close relatives and friends to attend the service on the farm on Saturday (February 28) to celebrate his life.

The service will take place at 11:00 the family farm Keerom, situated on the R555, Stoffberg road (bordering Kanonkop). The farm coordinates: 25,73100° S, 29,50412° E.

Farming formed a central part of Niels’s life from childhood, shaped by growing up on his parents’ Danish dairy outside Middelburg. He attended Middelburg Primary and Middelburg High School, where he later met his wife, Kathy.

From a young age, Niels worked alongside his father and uncle on the family farm, developing the deep dedication and work ethic he would be known for throughout his life.

His family describes him as a man of quiet strength, devoted to his farm, his family and his community.
