Middelburg hairdresser Monti missing for a fortnight

Concerns for his safety continue to grow as days pass without any sign of him.

A hairdresser has gone missing from the Middelburg CBD and has not been seen for the last two weeks.

Family, friends and police are searching for Monti Tata Mosehla (39), a well-known hairdresser from OR Tambo Street, in the Middelburg CBD, who has been missing since April 23.

According to information, Monti was last seen at his salon in Middelburg before he seemingly disappeared without a trace.

His brother was reportedly the last family member to see him, but could not recall what he was wearing at the time.

The police confirmed that an investigation into his disappearance is underway, while detectives are following up on information and working with family members and colleagues in an effort to trace him.

Anyone who may have seen Monti, or who has information about where he could be, is urged to contact Detective Warrant Officer Vusi Mathibela on 079 530 0938. Information can also be shared anonymously by calling Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or through the My SAPS App.

The police also reminded the public that if they have a missing loved one, it can be reported immediately, and there is no waiting period before opening a case.
