Steelcrest first team defeated Hoërskool Parys.

Steelcrest High School first team claimed championship glory in front of a home crowd today (August 15), defeating Hoërskool Parys in a high-scoring thriller, while the U16 team was defeated by THS Klerksdorp in their respective Virseker Noordvaal Group 4 Rugby Cup final.

Hosting the prestigious tournament finals at Steelcrest High School, local supporters packed the stands in full force, creating an electric atmosphere for both home fixtures.

In the afternoon’s main feature, the Steelcrest first team put on an offensive masterclass against Hoërskool Parys.

The first team demonstrated resilience and sharp execution in an intense contest, Steelcrest outlasted their opponents to secure a dramatic 44–34 victory.

The triumph crowned Steelcrest as the first team champions, wrapping up an outstanding regional campaign.

Earlier in the day, the U16 squad battled fiercely against a disciplined THS Klerksdorp lineup.

Despite putting up a brave performance and fighting for every inch on the pitch, the U16 team were defeated 22–10.

While falling just short of the title, the U16 players earned strong applause from the home crowd for their grit and effort throughout the season.
