The Sun shines on these birds

The 15 best players in Mpumalanga have been selected to represent the province in the Netball Premier League at the University of Pretoria's Rembrandt Hall.

The Mpumalanga Sunbirds are in Division Two with the likes of Kwazulu-Natal (Kingdom Stars), Northern Cape (Diamonds), Southern Stings (Western Cape) and Limpopo (Limpopo Boababs).

Three of their games will be televised live on SuperSport during the tournament.

• The team consists of Thembisile Mdluli (Nelspruit – vice-captain), Marlie Nel (Middelburg – captain), Nurse Mbonani (Kinross), Thabisile Mphuthi (Kinross), Elandé le Roux (Middelburg), Fikile Oliphant (Embalenhle), Rolo Erasmus (Middelburg), Felicia Muwayi (Nelspruit), Sibongile Mashiyane (Breyton), Angel Mbatna (Kinross), Marili Tolley (Middelburg), Chandi Venter (Middelburg), Vicky Mbana (Breyton), Maureen Nkosi (Nelspruit), Charlin Ntuli (Middelburg), Tilla Smedema (Middelburg – team manager), Julie Oosthuizen (Middelburg – coach).

11 May: Sunbirds vs Southern Stings (TV game at 12:00)

17 May: Sunbirds vs Kingdom Stars

24 May: Sunbirds vs Southern Stings

25 May: Sunbirds vs Limpopo Boababs (TV game at 15:00)

31 May: Sunbirds vs Diamonds

1 June: Sunbirds vs Kingdom Stars (TV game at 13:30).
