Local boxers on the big stage
Two local boxers, Francis Matika and Mpumi Mayisela have been selected to compete in the South African Championships in Grahamstown during July.
The duo fights for Homestyle Boxing Academy and their rise have been remarkable.
• Their achievements to date: Matika won the 2015 Mpumalanga Open Boxing Middleweight Championships at Graceland Hotel and Casino. Mayisela was the runner-up.
• The Academy will be in action in Ogies today (Tuesday). The event will also serve as a warm-up challenge for Matika and Mayisela.
