World Champion visits Middelburg at PSA tournament

The PSA national pool tournament, which Middelburg is fortunate of hosting, has been visited by World Champion, Amy-Claire King, who is representing Northern Gauteng in the opens.

The tournament, which is being held at the Pienaardam Leisure Resort, has been visited by top class pool players from right across the country, who are all competing for the final position.

The young pool victrix from the Gauteng Province, was crowned as the World Masters Singles Champion, as well as player of the tournament, earlier this year, after representing the Protea ladies team at the World&Ball Pool Championships in Blackpool, UK.

Chairman of Pool South Africa, Mr Koos Steyn, explained that the open tournament will be continuing throughout the week, ending with the finals this Saturday.

The tournament has two divisions, where teams can compete in both single matches or as a group.
