Local artists shine
The winners in the Middelburg Mall 'My Middelburg, My Region' Art Competition have been announced.
The quality of entries have once again proved that Middelburg hosts a wide variety of talented artists, with the youngest winner only four years old.
The new categories for children gave the young ones a chance to showcase their talents.
Henro Frazer (12) won the painting category for 0-12 year old entrants and Samantha van der Vyver (12) walked away with the drawing prize. Four year old Eduard Nunes was awarded as ‘Young and Upcomming Artist’.
In the 13 -18 categories Suretha Prinsloo won the painting and Jeanelle van der Westhuizen (17) the drawing competition respectively.
The adult categories saw old entrants showing their steel and new ones making their mark. They are:
