Cansa Cuppa Tea – Event of the year!

Apart from the beautifully draped white marquee, stunning pink tables and mountains of cake, entertainment added much flavor to the mornings proceedings. South Africa’s newest singing couple Burgerd & Zita had the 200 guests in awe.

Community Mobiliser for Cansa Highveld, Andries du Preez, compared people in general with chocolates, “You get the round ones, triangular ones, big ones and small ones, from Smarties to my ultimate favorite, the Inside Story, chocolate. It is beautifully wrapped in the royal blue wrapping that resembles our clothes, our jewellery and our masks. But who of us is looking beyond that beautiful blue wrapping to see what goes on inside… Everyone is fighting a battle, be it financially, emotionally, the breakup of a friendship or marriage or cancer. We forget to look past the wrapping.”

He coloured in the works and doings of the Cancer Association of South Africa.

He is very excited about the 2015 projects coming up. The Cuppa Season has now come to an end for 2014 but in 2015 they will be having bigger and Better Cuppa’s.

• Excitement is in the air, as we are approaching Relay For Life Season and its sure that Middelburg will be turned into purple early next year!
