A minibus from Phola Coaches, with several innocent civilians, was pelted with stones while driving passed the Rockdale Village on Friday morning, 17 April during the ongoing taxi war.
One woman was struck on her head with a stone.
According to the secretary of the Nasaret Taxi Association, Mr David Ross, the minibus was traveling towards the N4 highway when several angry protesters stopped the taxi and started pelting it with stones. The passengers were ordered out of the minibus while the protesters continued throwing the taxi with stones.
According to Mr Ross so far, 18 taxi’s have been damaged by protesters.
“As a peaceful, loving and responsible Association we urge our commuters residing in Nasaret, Extension 24, Rockdale and Hlalamnandi to remain calm and expose all those who make living a normal life impossible,” Mr Ross said.
