Man robbed of company car

MIDRAND - A man was hijacked while looking for parking on Sixteenth road in Midrand.

Police spokesperson Matome Tlamela said the man who was on duty, was sent to Monument road to pick up a new vehicle.

“He went and came back with a white Toyota Cruiser.

“When he arrived at a car dealership in Midrand, While still looking for parking, a Ford Focus blocked his way and an unknown man came out and ordered him to move to the passenger’s side which he refused.

“The suspect then pointed a firearm at him. He jumped out and the suspects got into the vehicle and drove away. ”

The total value of the vehicle is estimated at R877 622.

No one has been arrested yet and police are still investigating.
