Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said the woman was waiting for her transport after being dropped off by a taxi at about 7:00pm.
“When phoning for her transport to pick her up, she was surprised by a man standing behind her.
“The suspect demanded her cellphone be given to him as well her money,” she said. Tlamela said the woman was stabbed after she told the man that she didn’t have money.
The suspect got away with her handbag containing an ID book, bank cards, credit cards, and R600 cash.
Police are still looking for the suspect and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
