Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant parked her car at Carlswald Lifestyle Centre and went into the shops.
“When she returned the security guard informed her that he had seen people in her car while she was gone. The security guard then happened to see the suspect whom he pointed out to the complainant. The suspect was searched and found to be in possession of the complainant’s iPhone.”
Constable Tlamela added, “The police were called to the scene and the suspect was immediately arrested. The suspect will appear in court soon facing charges of theft and possession of suspected stolen property.”
