House robbery in President Park

ON 13 SEPTEMBER three men robbed a house in President Park.

“The complainant said he was about to leave for work when three men approached him. He noticed that one of the men used to work for him but panicked when another man pointed a firearm at him and forced him to get back into the house. The suspects tied up the complainant, his wife and his brother with a cable and demanded money and cellphones from the victims,” Constable Matome Tlamela said.

Tlamela added, “The complainant and his brother managed to untie themselves and fought with one of the suspects carrying a firearm. The suspect fired some shots at the complainant several times. The other two suspects ran away with three cellphones and R100 cash. The suspects forgot one of their cellphones and the firearm at the scene of the crime. Upon further investigation, police discovered that the firearm had been reported stolen during a house breaking and theft in a Klerksdorp case.”

No one has been arrested yet, the police are investigating the case.
