Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainant he was on duty when a white Nissan vehicle with six men and a female stopped. The vehicle is said to have had no registration numbers. When the car stopped three men jumped out and approached the complainant.
“The suspects demanded money from the complainant. When the complainant said he did not have any cash, they told him he does because it is the end of the month.” The suspects searched the complainant and his car and took two Samsung cellphones and a ring, both to the estimated value of R15 000. The suspects took off with the stolen goods.
The police are still investigating the matter. No one has been arrested yet.
