
Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the victim, his supervisor assigned him to a task, and when the supervisor checked the work the man had done he was not happy.
“They quarreled and the supervisor assaulted the complainant.”
Tlamela said the victim sustained serious injuries and a case of assault was opened. Midrand police is asking anyone in similar circumstances to come forward and report their cases or consult with the station’s victim empowerment psychologists.
Psychologists’ services at the police station are available from Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm, on Fridays, 2pm to 5pm and on Saturdays, 9am to 12pm.
