House robbery in President Park

PRESIDENT PARK - and his friends were robbed of property of about R170 000 at a house in Modderfontein Road, President Park on 24 September.

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant said he and his friends were held at gunpoint by three men and were robbed of two laptops, a Blackberry cellphone, Samsung S2 cellphone, one LCD monitor, an ID book, driver’s licence and jewellery.

“The suspects then took the complainant’s house keys and car keys and loaded the stolen goods into the complainant’s vehicle, a Ford Fiesta, and drove off.”

Tlamela said the suspects were believed to have gained entry into the house through an unlocked door.

No arrests have been made and police are still investigating the matter.

Tlamela said, “We would like to advise the public to always keep doors locked at all times and not leave any windows open if they are not home.”
