Two nabbed with car jamming device

NOORDWYK - Two suspects, aged 21 and 23 years old, were arrested for being in possession of car jamming device equipment. This after Midrand police were on high alert to bring suspects using car-jamming devices to book.

On 18 November, at around 2pm, the two suspects were arrested for being in possession of car jamming device equipment in Noordwyk.

Midrand police communications officer Matome Tlamela said the police were conducting routine patrol duties when they spotted the suspects driving into Carlswarld Shopping Centre. The suspects parked their vehicle at the parking bay, however they loitered at the parking without buying anything and suddenly left the centre.

“The police followed the suspects, stopped them and searched them together with their vehicle. During the search, the police found the suspects in possession of car jamming device

equipment and a Woolworths card which did not belong to them. While the suspects were interviewed they could not give a satisfactory explanation to the police and they were both immediately arrested.”
