Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainant, two staff members stole cooldrinks at their place of work on South Street, Halfway House.”
Tlamela added, “The suspects sold the cooldrinks to a woman who owns a shop in Halfway House.”
According to police, the woman’s shop was searched and the stolen goods were found. When asked for proof of purchase the woman had none.
“The suspect who bought the stolen goods was arrested for possession of stolen property,” said Tlamela.
Another suspect was found at Boulders taxi rank with stolen cooldrinks.
Suspects will soon appear in court on charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
