Suspects rob house of R40 000

NOORDWYK - A woman was in her Noordwyk garden when she was held up.

The robbery occurred at Ethel Avenue on 29 January at 1.15pm where property to the value of about R40 000 was stolen by three men armed with a gun.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainant, she was working in the garden and she was surprised by three armed men who pointed a firearm at her.”

Tlamela said the suspects tied up the complainant and others in the house with belts and took jewellery, cash and a cellphone.

“During the robbery the suspects slapped the complainant because she refused to answer their questions,” she said.

Midrand police are investigating and hope to bring the suspects to book soon. No arrests have been made.
