Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said on 13 February at 1am, Midrand police followed a drug dealing tip-off, and upon their arrival at the given address in Halfway Gardens, they found two unknown men and searched their house.
She said during the search, police found drugs at a street value of R70 000 in the kitchen; the police proceeded to the other rooms where they found a 9mm pistol and 104 live rounds of ammunition.
“The suspects were asked to produce the firearm licence and both of them failed to do so. R11 000 cash was seized from the house during the time of the arrest,” said Tlamela.
