Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said the complainant was robbed of her wedding ring, cellphone, laptop and projector at an estimated value of R21 000.
“According to the complainant, while she was upstairs in the office working, she heard a person downstairs shouting, ‘Hello, hello.’ The complainant went down to check and to her surprise she saw three men walking upstairs towards her. The suspects ordered the complainant not to look at them and they tied her up with mouse [computer] cable and turned [faced] her against the wall,” said Tlamela.
The suspects demanded money, safe keys and laptops and left the scene. The complainant then managed to untie herself and pressed the panic button.
Tlamela said the Midrand police were investigating and hoped to bring the suspects to book. No arrests have been made.
