Tied up and robbed

MIDRAND - Property at an estimated value of R40 000 was stolen during a house robbery in Vorna Valley at about 9am on 25 March.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant alleged that three suspects came into the house. They pointed a firearm at her and tied her up with a belt. Two suspects searched the house while the third suspect kept on asking her about the safe.”

Tlamela said the complainant told the suspects that there was no safe. The suspects stole a TV, DVD player, perfumes, jewellery, a laptop, camera, cellphone and mini hi-fi and left the house.

The complainant then managed to untie herself and looked through the window. “She saw the suspects loading the goods into a black SUV, make and model unknown, which was parked in the yard,” said Tlamela.

She said no arrests had been made and police were busy with investigations.
