Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainant, four armed men entered the house and ordered the complainant’s family to sit on the floor. Their hands were tied with electric cables. Three of the men ransacked the house and stole most of the electrical appliances, while the other man pointed a firearm at them.”
The suspects then packed the appliances into the complainant’s white Nissan Tiida and said they would return for more.
Tlamela said the complainant and his family untied themselves and used the gardener’s cellphone to call the neighbours and Midrand police.
Midrand police is still investigating the case.
