Midrand police communications officer, Constable Matome Tlamela said the suspects surprised the two security officers on duty and robbed the company of property including two lung machines, laptops, printers, TVs and scanners.
“According to the complainant, the suspects tied up him and his colleague with shoe laces. One of the suspects guarded them using a firearm while the other suspect went into the building,” Tlamela said.
The suspects phoned for a vehicle to load the stolen items and the suspects left the premises.
Tlamela said the security officers managed to untie themselves, and called their control room and the police for assistance.
“No one has been arrested yet and the police are busy investigating the case to bring the suspects to book. Anyone with information that can assist the police in locating the suspects regarding the case can call Midrand police,” she said.
