Armed suspects rob business
HALFWAY HOUSE - A Halfway House business was robbed of goods at an estimated value of R70 000 on 5 May.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said laptops and a cellphone at an estimated value of R70 000 were stolen by four unknown men. Tlamela said, “According to the complainant, while on duty he was approached by a black VW Golf with four occupants inside. One of the suspects got out of the Golf and asks the complainant a question and then pointed a firearm at him and ordered him to look down.”
The other three suspects went inside the building, stole goods and left the scene.
“During the robbery, the complainant was ordered to run and hide himself or else they would shoot him,” said Tlamela.
She said the suspects were armed with two revolvers and they appeared to be between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
“No one has been arrested yet and the police are busy investigating the case of a business robbery and hoped to bring the suspects to book soon,” she said.
Tlamela called on community members with information to assist the police in catching the suspects.
