Constable Nanty Belebesi said a complainant, who reported the crime, said that the two vehicles were taken to a marketing company for branding. Two unknown suspects called to ask about the vehicles and then arrived to collect them. She said thereafter, a person from DHL marketing phoned the complainant to ask about the two vehicles.
Belebetsi said, “The complainant told the marketing personnel that the vehicles have been collected. DHL said they never sent anyone to collect the vehicles.” The complainant then realised that the two men who collected the vehicles are not known by DHL; she then reported the matter to the police.
However when Midrand Reporter contacted DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding, they said they could not comment on the issue as they were not aware of the incident.
Midrand police are still looking for information and asked that community members who know anything should call them.
